With the fuss around marijuana becoming more readily available throughout North America, companies are trying to get in on the action. New merchandisers are putting CBD vape juice on the market without regard for the quality of their product. Users need to be wary of toxic CBD products and their effect on a person’s health.

These companies are using the scientifically plausible health benefits of CBD and the reputation that hemp oils carry in order to sell products that aren’t necessarily what consumers are picturing in their minds when thinking about CBD.

This is because e-juice companies are trying to get on the CBD’s popularity and are not extracted from the plant with wholesome methods. Oftentimes, lower quality CBD products that are available online and in some pharmacies are more akin to salt nicotine juices, and can even be made of synthetic CBD salt by companies that do employ proper lab testing methodologies.

Packaging might contain messages about the health benefits despite disclaimers that they are not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure, and that these statements have not been evaluated by any reputable agency or lab.

CBD Warning: Report of Harmful CBD Products

In short, though cannabis is a wonderful plant, the money machine that has evolved around its emergence in mainstream American and Canadian culture is busy doing what it does best: misleading people so they can buy products they don’t actually need or want. Its health benefits are astounding when you purchase the best CBD vape oils, but so many people attempt to mislead the masses that it can be hard to distinguish between what is good and what isn’t.

The Differences Between Pure CBD and CBD E-Juice

It is easy to see those three letters, C-B-D, and think that you are getting the products you want, but unfortunately, this is not always the case. The confusion between different CBD products on the market stems from the lack of transparency that certain companies employ when describing their products.

The differences between pure CBD oil CBD “juice” might seem subtle, but for patients seeking medical supplements, it can mean a lot. CBD e-liquids can be made in a variety of ways, either derived from alcohol tinctures or from carbon dioxide extractions, or a host of other ways, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

The main problem with CBD vape e-liquids and CBD salt juice is that they contain additives the allow the product to be better utilized with refillable vape tanks. These additives make the product thinner, or they add flavor, and in the end, all of them are relatively new and untested. So to get a better grip on the current CBD market, we’ll take a look at the differences between E juice and Salts.

CBD E-Juice and Nicotine Salt

Difference between Pure CBD vs CBD ejuice

Nicotine salts are derived from the tobacco leaf, and the added salt content is used to lower the temperature that the oils burn at. This is more economical and better for your pen, but it can also have unintended (or intended) side effects such as delivering a stronger dose of nicotine that gets you addicted quickly and more effectively. When combined with CBD E juice, consumers are induced to inhale more deeply and hold the vapor in longer.

One of the unintended side effects of vaping salt-based products includes a condition known as popcorn lung, in which airways and breathing apparatuses within our lungs become damaged by inhaling toxic chemicals. Sufferers are often citing shortness of breath as one of the primary symptoms of this condition.

The link between this condition and salt-based juices has been refuted in the past and first showed up in clinical studies funded by Harvard. These researchers concluded that the link between the condition and the purported cause is loose at best, though more research would be required to be certain.

Still, the controversy centers around one of the primary ingredients in cheap salt nic devices, diacetyl. This chemical is used to deliver the flavor of e juice, and little is known about its long term effect on human health. Needless to say, for the best CBD vape juice, consumers should be wary of added flavors.

Toxic CBD Products: Is There a Safe Solution to Vaping CBD?

Is there a safe solution to vape CBD

The safest solution to vaping CBD is to stick to the medical supply available and stay away from synthetic cannabinoids or nic salt.

These products may contain some of the health benefits of traditional CBD intake, but the additives that make the oil good for vaping are often untested and contain smaller amounts of CBD.

Vaping carts that contain the highest grade of pure CBD oil is best for your health, and though some companies will try to convince you otherwise, always remember to stay away from the salts!

When purchasing CBD products, look on the label to ensure that the product was actually derived from the hemp plant. This helps avoid toxic CBD products. Furthermore, the use of chemical products may be linked to birth defects and should be avoided by pregnant women.

Summary

In the end, we all know that CBD and its derivatives can have massive boons for human mental and physical health, and these findings are backed up by government agencies and third-party medical labs. Infusing nic salts into toxic CBD products damages the reputation of other manufacturers that maintain an honest outlook on the plant we all know and love.

But given the consumerist culture we live in, everyone is trying to make a buck off the growing industry, and consumers must be aware of the fact that some CBD products are closer to snake oil than they are to actual cannabis-derived CBD oil.

A good visual test to make on any CBD concentrate is its consistency: if the CBD product for vaping has a thick waxy consistency you are safe to use but if the CBD Product is too diluted as they are on e-liquids I would advise you to stay away from those type of products not only because they don’t share the CBD benefits but you are consuming synthetic products.

When purchasing, always keep in mind that these products aren’t meant for diagnosis and treatment, and one should always consult a trained medical professional with any questions. With a little bit of consumer awareness, we can come together as a community to ensure the big business doesn’t bastardize the astonishing medical properties that CBD has to offer.
