Do Not Maximize Your Life

Do Not Maximize Your Life

Maximization is like a process. There are life triggers that are seeded deeply inside our heads. Such as bright colors and sounds stimulate some people.

You want to feel associated, warm, and comfortable with your life. Without knowing the idea behind embracing minimalist living, you will think of life as an unsatisfying and endless time.

Over and over again, there is a reminder that the next big thing will make us happy. Marketing messages make it seem like all the people around us are not good enough. When you listen to a particular message repeatedly, you start believing it.

Your voice begins to tell you that you need to be this; you need to be doing that. When you do achieve that, there is something else that you could have done, and then you strive to accomplish that as well. Such is life if you are not a minimalist, a carrot on a stick.

If There Is A Limit To Space, Rather Fill It With Things That Truly Matter

An old Zen quote goes like this,

“A horse suddenly came galloping quickly down the road. It seemed as though the man had somewhere important to go. Another man, who was standing alongside the road, shouted, “Where are you going?” and the man on the horse replied, “I don’t know! Ask the horse A horse suddenly came galloping quickly down the road.

It seemed as though the man had somewhere important to go. Another man, who was standing alongside the road, shouted,

“Where are you going?” and the man on the horse replied, “I don’t know! Ask the horse!”

Does any of this resonate with you? Perhaps you have always felt somewhere in your mind that you might understand that this way of living does not truly provide you satisfaction. Now, how are you going to take your life back into control?

There is an alternative that can potentially provide you with a sense of direction in many different life aspects. Stop getting told what t do and hold the reins leading your life.

The Requirements Of Minimalist Living

The first step is awareness. It is high time to start noticing how the messages around you influence your decisions. Ask questions about what you need and what is essential.

Being self-aware is a power to be used at all times. Is someone speaking to you? Listen to them. When you are working, work, when you are cooking, cook, and when you are resting, rest.

Coherence comes next. It is the most common everyone associates with minimalist living. Get rid of stuff; everything you have needs to have a purpose. It does not mean you cannot have art or luxury.

The purpose of art is to give you joy. But if there are things in life that do not satisfy you, toss them out. Sort the closet and scrap the junk drawers of your life.

Minimalistic living is not only to practice minimalism in material possessions, like being clutter-free. More areas can benefit from minimalist living. These include,

Your private Space: Clean out your car, your house, and your fridge. Keep a lot of stuff that matters and satisfies you while donating the rest to a family member or Goodwill. Avoid sleeping on a straw mat in the corner of the room because the junk takes up space. Start decluttering it.

Learning: Indeed, learning never stops; read a bit of one book every single day. Take notes and file them. Donate the book, get a new one, watch one recent TED talk, read the New York times or take an online course.

Finally, the true power of the idea of minimalism comes from routine. Make sure you remain organized. Use a daily planner and a journal, wake up without your phone close, read, write and meditate.
