Amid the demands of his mandatory military service, RM, the leader of the global sensation K-pop group BTS, will be releasing his second solo album titled “Right Place, Wrong Person” on May 24.

Breaking the news via Big Hit Music’s announcement on Weverse, the label revealed that RM’s new album will feature 11 tracks infused with alternative music and rich sounds, with a soundscape that delves into the depths of personal experiences.

What’s more, RM himself has contributed to the creation of each song with his introspective lyricism, offering ARMYs a glimpse into his inner thoughts and emotions, describing the album as “a rich sound coupled with frank, honest lyrics.”

“Right Place, Wrong Person” is also described as a departure from BTS’ collective sound, showcasing RM’s unique identity as a solo artist and his “authentic essence.”

According to Big Hit’s statement, the album captures moments in life, including the sensation of being an outsider struggling to find one’s place in the world.

Leading up to the announcement, RM teased fans with glimpses of his creative process, sharing studio photos on his second Instagram account.

This upcoming release follows RM’s successful debut solo album “Indigo,” which dropped in December 2022, featuring tracks like “Wild Flower” and “Closer.”

Despite BTS currently being on hiatus as members fulfill their mandatory military service, RM’s solo project serves as a testament to the group’s unwavering dedication to their craft and their commitment to connecting with fans through music.

As anticipation builds for “Right Place, Wrong Person,” fans eagerly await the next chapter in RM’s musical journey, eagerly counting down the days until its release.

The label’s statement concluded with a message, “Your anticipation and support for RM and his second solo album ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ would be much appreciated.”
