While everyone witnessed Taylor Swift once again adding another year as Artist of the Year and SZA clinching Song of the Year, the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2024 presented on Monday in Hollywood recognized some of the globally renowned K-pop acts.

K-pop sensation BTS once again proved its global dominance, clinching an impressive five trophies amid the ongoing military service of its members.

The group’s fanbase, known as the BTS Army, secured the Best Fan Army award, marking their seventh consecutive victory in the category since 2018.

Additionally, BTS members claimed individual accolades, showcasing their diverse talents beyond the group’s collective success. Jungkook, breaking new ground in the music industry, made history by claiming the title of K-pop Artist of the Year.

His achievement not only solidified his position as a trailblazer but also heralded a new era of inclusivity and representation in the music scene. Additionally, his music video for “Seven (feat. Latto)” was honored as the Best Music Video.

Meanwhile, BTS’ V also received recognition for his solo venture, having won the Favorite Debut Album prize for “Layover.”

And just days after the premiere of his documentary series “Hope on the Street” on Prime Video, J-Hope was honored with the Favorite On Screen award for “J-Hope in the Box,” shedding light on the creative process behind his solo album, “Jack in the Box.”

The artist went head-to-head with industry heavyweights like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

Furthermore, several other K-pop groups were acknowledged in the awards show, with girl group Fifty Fifty clinching the K-pop Song of the Year for “Cupid (Twin Version),” boy group Stray Kids securing the K-pop Album of the Year for “5-Star,” and NewJeans being named Best New Artist.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards, an annual event presented by the US online radio station iHeartRadio since 2014, celebrates artists and songs that have received the highest airplay on its radio programs and apps over the course of the year.
