Welcome home, BTS – literally and musically.
After wrapping up their mandatory military service, the K-pop supergroup is already back in the headlines, and it’s their 2019 track “Home” that’s stealing the spotlight.
The fan-favorite single has made a surprise return to Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, and this time, it’s sitting pretty at No. 1.
While “Home” first entered the chart five years ago, it never reached the summit, until now.
With this new milestone, BTS adds their 38th No. 1 to their record on the chart, further extending their lead as the most dominant act in the category. Meanwhile, K-pop powerhouse Blackpink comes in second with nine chart-toppers.
But this chart win is just the beginning of BTS’ grand return. On July 18, the group will release “Permission to Dance on Stage – Live,” their first-ever live album. It’s their first group project in years and a gift to ARMYs who’ve waited patiently during their military hiatus.
Although brand-new music won’t arrive until early 2026, fans don’t have to wait to feel the comeback energy. BTS is already laying the groundwork for their next era and it’s happening stateside.
RM was spotted arriving in Los Angeles on July 6, followed by SUGA, Jimin and Jungkook on July 7. The four are reportedly attending a songwriting camp in the US to kick off preparations for their next full-length album.
V, currently finishing up Paris Fashion Week with Celine, is expected to join soon. Jin and J-Hope are staying in Korea for now but are very much in the loop for what’s next.

And if that wasn’t enough to get ARMYs buzzing, all seven members reunited live on Weverse on July 1 for the first time since 2022. During the stream, they confirmed the rumors: a comeback album and world tour are officially on the horizon for 2026.
With “Home” climbing the charts, a live album on the way, and comeback plans in motion, BTS’s return is shaping up to be everything fans hoped for and more. The kings are home, and they’re not missing a beat.
