Yelawolf Bloody Sunday Freestyle: Roasts Post Malone and G-Eazy

05:47 AM April 02, 2019

Yelawolf is not growing his fan base as of recently, but has instead created an “army” of enemies. The reason for this is that he called Post Malone an “appropriation thief,” and he also roasted G-Eazy during the “Bloody Sunday” freestyle.

Yelawolf has been going on and on about how he is the representation of the “New South,” and he wants to make sure that the competition rappers and artists see that. His lyrics are edgy, including, “Chewed up like a muskrat in a backpack.” The last album that Yelawolf had on Eminem’s Shady Records was the last project on that label. In one single on the album, “Trunk Muzik 3,” Yelawolf explains the issues that he has with G-Eazy and Post Malone.

When it comes to G-Eazy, Yelawolf compares him and Tom Cruise from Vanilla Sky. In this lyric, he makes a vow to boil G-Eazy until, “the kettle’s dry.” Yelawolf also talks about how G-Eazy’s Stillhouse whiskey collaboration was not impressive at all. He says it made him want to go “straight back to AA.” Yelawolf begins to go in on Post Malone too. He raps about how Malone does not even rap, and he calls the Grammy performer a loser, a fake, a poser, and an “appropriation thief.”

Yelawolf discusses Machine Gun Kelly as well. His rap talks about how he feels about MGK, and the beef with Eminem.

The Rebuttal

In a rebuttal to Yelawolf, Post Malone decided to come back on Yelawolf. Malone responded to the diss via Twitter. Malone basically called out Yelawolf for being a “nerd,” and said he was “trolling his style.” He said the tweet was the only “support I will offer his album.” He continues to talk about how Yelawolf is envious of what he has, and that he could hook Yelawolf up with a couple of people that he could borrow stuff from.

Post Malone keeps the tweet going and references Yelawolf’s music to that of “dookie.” Then he invites Yelawolf to hit him up whenever he decides to play decent music. Of course, the so called “beef” did not end with just that. That would be convenient. That’s not the way that Yelawolf is going to leave it. Most people assumed that he would try to be the one with the final word in the situation.

Yelawolf Fires Back

Yelawolf did fire back. When he came back, he said that he felt like Post Malone did not “have the balls” to record a track that would diss him, so instead of recording a track, like he did, Post Malone simply took the easy way out and posted a tweet about him.

Whatever the beef truly is between these two, it seems to be trivial, and a “high school-esque” type of situation. If both performers are decent and selling albums, songs, merchandise, and playing to sold out audiences, what is the point of having beef? Why can’t both of these guys be happy that the other is successful, in the same industry! It seems as if someone may be a little jealous of the other. With that being said, the quality of music from either one of these artists is all a matter of personal preference! We all have a right to our own opinions, and these two seem to make that clear, especially Yelawolf.
