BGYO’s ‘Magnet’ tops list of hardest P-pop dance moves to pull off

Filipino pop powerhouse BGYO is once again making waves both locally and globally, as their hit track “Magnet” shot back to No. 1 on the iTunes Philippines Top Songs chart – this time fueled by a surge of international recognition. 

The song was recently highlighted by entertainment platform MsMojo as the most difficult choreography in their “Top 10 Hardest P-Pop Choreographies to Pull Off” list on YouTube.

“From intense formations to complex traditional moves, P-pop has given us some incredibly challenging dance routines,” MsMojo described in their video caption. “Join us as we showcase the most difficult choreographies that have pushed performers to their limits…Our countdown includes iconic performances from BGYO, ALAMAT, SB19, MNL48 and more!”

Top 10 Hardest P-Pop Choreographies to Pull Off

BGYO’s “Magnet,” choreographed by Filipino American dancer and choreographer Brian Puspos – best known for his work with BTS and other K-pop artists – earned the coveted top spot in the ranking. 

MsMojo praised the performance, stating, “Puspos delivered a routine that’s impossible to forget,” while describing BGYO as “outstanding dancers” who showcased both intensity and precision in the piece.

In response to the renewed spotlight, the group took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their gratitude. “Magnet and Be:Us are taking over the top spots on iTunes Philippines’ Top Songs and Top Albums! Huge thanks to all of you for the love and support!” they wrote.

Their sophomore album Be:Us also soared to No. 2 on the iTunes Philippines Top Albums chart, signaling a wave of support from both longtime fans and new listeners. In a post, BGYO reflected on their journey, saying, “From 2022 to 2024, so much has changed… but your support stayed the same Thank you for bringing Be Us to #2 on iTunes PH!”

Beyond the Philippines, “Magnet” also charted internationally, landing at #26 on iTunes New Zealand, showing the group’s expanding reach.

BGYO has multiple songs from their discography re-entering the iTunes PH chart including “Tumitigil Ang Mundo,” “Panahon” and “Game On.”
