BGYO returns to Canada, teases upcoming song ‘Trash’
There’s no stopping Filipino boy group BGYO as they return to Canada for the country’s largest Filipino festival.
Hot off their performance of “Patintero,” the Grammy-featured group – composed of Gelo, Akira, Mikki, JL and Nate – took a stroll through the Canadian streets and filmed a dance challenge video for their latest song “Gigil” in front of the iconic CN Tower, which held the record for the tallest freestanding structure on land for over 30 years.

Feeling the excitement, main vocalists JL and Akira, who sang the “Senior High” official soundtrack “Be Mine,” posted snaps of their first day in Toronto, Ontario, along the bay. One fan commented, “Iba hangin jan sa Canada, mas pumopogi ka JL.”

Leader Gelo added, “It was a blast performing in Toronto again! Made even more special by meeting global ACEs, locals, at syempre mga kababayan natin! Maraming salamat.”
Following this international trip, BGYO released a teaser for their new international song. The video shows the five-member group in an office setup, writing, scratching and throwing crumpled papers, ending with the title of the song “Trash” and the message “coming soon.”

On their social media platforms, they wrote, “I’m ready for you… What about you? Are YOU ready?” This post made their fans, ACEs, trend “WE ARE CURIOUS BGYO” on X (formerly Twitter).
Main rapper Mikki then posted a photo with the caption “move to trash” and a note saying he is “seated.”
Booked and busy, the boys will then be headed to California for “ASAP Natin ‘To’ in California” where they will be joined by more than 50 Kapamilya artists including the nation’s girl group BINI. Both P-pop groups will be having an exclusive meet and greet session with the lucky ticket holders.
