October marks the celebration of Filipino American History Month, a time to honor the history, achievements and legacy of Filipinos in the US.

This annual observance dates back to the first documented arrival of Filipinos in Morro Bay, California, in 1587.

In celebration of this significant month, BGYO took center stage at TikTok’s Creator Studio in Los Angeles, making history as the first international artists to headline a concert at the platform’s Creator Studio.

This event was presented by ARISE, TikTok’s Asian Pacific Islander Employee Resource Group and focused on elevating Filipino pride.

BGYO, composed of Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki and Nate, shared their excitement with fans through their official Instagram account, expressing their gratitude for being part of the festivities.

“FYP… For Your Pride, Pinoy pride! It was an honor to be part of Filipino American History Month festivities at @tiktokcreators Studio in LA. Thanks so much again for having us!” the group posted.

Their performance included crowd favorites and their latest single, “Trash,” which has quickly become a fan favorite.

But the celebration didn’t stop there. BGYO also hit the runway at LA Fashion Week 2024, collaborating with Filipino designer Kenneth Barlis.

The group not only performed “Trash” but also strutted down the runway, capping off the show with their stylish presence and confident walks.

Not just that as prior to their US trip, the “Aces of Pop” and the “Grammy-featured artists” hint of a solo concert and new music on the horizon slated for release next year.

It’s clear that this OPM sensation has much more in store for their fans, the ACEs.
