SAN FRANCISCO – Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) kicked off its U.S.-wide roadshow of this city on Feb. 17, at Dynamico Space at the Philippine Center.
The nationwide roadshow aims to assemble the alumni of FYLPRO’s annual immersion program to the Philippines as well as engage up-and-coming young Filipino American leaders. It will head for Guam, Honolulu and Los Angeles before the first quarter of the year ends.
The Philippine International Aid founder and Positively Filipino website publisher Mona Lisa Yuchengco encouraged those in attendance to pursue their passions in uplifting other people’s lives.
FYLPRO is also encouraging registered Filipino voters—particularly the youth—to participate in the 2022 Presidential Elections, which will run overseas from April 10 to May 9.
The Dynamico Space at the Philippine Center is an office and co-working space co-owned by former FYLPRO President JR Calanoc to support American and Filipino American startup companies planning to enter the Philippine and the Southeast Asian markets. It also provides Philippine startups with mentorship sessions and networking opportunities in the U.S.
Consul General Ferrer welcomed 2022 FYLPRO President Leezel Tanglao and explained that in addition to the delivery of passport and other consular services, the Consulate has also turned its focus on economic diplomacy to bring businesses and jobs to the Philippines.
