- Open Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. You can’t use NP/TP on other browsers.
- Install the Teleparty/Netflix Party extension for Chrome or Edge.
- Once the installation is finished, you’ll see a red “TP” extension icon near the top right of your Edge or Chrome browser. (Back then, it was an “NP” button.)
- Open your account on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, or Disney+. Use your main account profile.
- Select a show. Make sure it’s playing.
- Click the TP button near the address bar. The Teleparty extension icon should now be red instead of grey.
- This will open another window that contains a link.
- Click the chain icon to copy and share the Party URL. It should be on the top right of your chat interface.
- Your friends should start appearing in the chat window. Now you’re ready to watch movies together!
You may allow up to 50 people in your Teleparty. However, all of them must have an account for the live stream service you’re using. Also, everyone must have the Edge or Chrome extension.
Moreover, it only functions on desktop computers or laptops. You can’t use Teleparty on tablets, smartphones, and other devices.
Troubleshooting tips
