Missouri couple adopts 8 Filipino orphans
NEOSHO, Missouri — Aaron and Stephanie Jones in 2017 adopted a group of five siblings from Gentle Hands Orphanage in Metro Manila, Philippines. Now, the Joneses are preparing to provide a home for another group of 3 siblings from the same orphanage.
The new adoptees Krisha Mae, Althea, and Ellein have been at the Manila orphanage, which currently cares for 115 children, since April 2015.
Ready to welcome them to their new family are previous adoptees Ruben, Haidee, Princess, Nino and Trixie, who have adjusted very well to their new home, according to the Patriot Ledger. It turns out the new adoptees apparently know the previous ones, according to the Patriot Ledger.
Fees to the adoption and home study agencies have been paid, costing more than $26,000. The couple plans to go to Manila around the end of February or early March when they think all the red tape is finalized and Covid restrictions are lifted.
The Gospel Lighthouse Church is helping the family by raising funds to help offset the travel cost of $7,500 to bring the children to their new home,
