Two Filipinos drown while fishing in Resurrection Bay, Alaska

SEWARD, Alaska — Two Anchorage men died and two were rescued when their fishing boat capsized near Seward.

Alaska State Troopers say the bodies of 53-year-old Benjamin Jimenez and 43-year-old Ferdinand Salvador, both Filipinos, were recovered.

The Coast Guard notified Seward troopers at about 3 p.m. Saturday that the private boat capsized just outside the bay. The bodies of Jimenez and Salvador were found floating in the water.

The survivors were taken to the Seward hospital.
