Invitation to join SF Pistahan Parade & Festival
SAN FRANCISCO — The Filipino American Arts Exposition is inviting participation in the 26th Annual Pistahan Parade and Festival on the second weekend of August.
The Pistahan is one of the largest celebrations of Filipino Americans in the U.S. and this year is celebrating 26 years as a part of the fabric of San Francisco. This fun two-day event is expected to draw over 80,000 individuals. This year’s theme is “Crossing Barriers & Bridging Cultures.”
The Pistahan Parade will kick off the weekend celebration and will take place on Saturday, August 10 at 11 am. The Parade will begin at the Civic Center, head east along Market Street and will end on Fourth Street, next to the Yerba Buena Gardens.
Colorful floats, marching bands and lively community contingents have distinguished the Pistahan Parade over the years. To make this year’s parade the best ever, organizations and groups of people are invited to participate in the parade. Fill out our easy and simple online application form at www.pistahan.net.
