How to Use a Weed Grinder

Using a grinder is quite simple. But, you must be meticulous while using it, so as to avoid accidents, and to produce high-quality ground marijuana.

Step 1 —Remove the lid of the grinder exposing the diamond shape teeth on top of the grinder.

Step 2 — After removing the cover, place the weed in the grinder. Break the nug and distribute the weed around evenly on top of the diamond-sharp teeth, but don’t over-fill the grinder beyond its capacity, to prevent spillage or unnecessary mechanical stress (especially on plastic grinders).

Step 3 — Grinding Process, cover the grinder. Then, ensure that you do not apply too much force when covering the grinder, to prevent any damage to your device. Lock the grinder’s cover firmly, smooth grinding in a 360-degree cycle to grind. The number of spins depends on the weed texture you want. The average number of times you’re expected to grind is ten times, but you can spin more if you like.

Step 4 — Remove the shredded weed from the grinder. Repeat step 3, if you’re not satisfied with the achieved texture. Remove the ground weed from the grinder, and put it in a different container.

Depending on the type of grinder you own for example a 4-piece grinder has a Kief chamber or Pollen catcher protected by a mesh screen.

How to Clean and Preserve the Weed Grinder After Use

With no proper maintenance, the grinder would not last long. After use, clean the grinder thoroughly with a piece of clothing or soft brush.

Cleaning prevents the grinder from rusting and wearing off. Do not clean your grinder with any cleaner that is metallic, or that has a hard surface. It would most likely ruin your grinder.

Ensure that you clean the innermost part. And, if the weed is stuck in the grinder, soak it in water so the dried weed will become easier to remove.

When you’re done cleaning the grinder, assemble the parts and keep in a safe place.

Note: keep in a dry place. If you have a zinc alloy quality weed grinder do not expose to oil or water to prevent rusting. Keep away from the reach of children to avoid injury or damage to the grinder. When it comes to electric grinders I personally stay away from as they lack enough space case and I’m used to the chamber grinders.
