Stepping into a new chapter of her pageant career, Filipino American beauty queen Jet Hammond has officially thrown her hat into the ring for Miss Utah USA 2025.
The 26-year-old, who proudly represented Southern California in the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 competition, confirmed the news through an Instagram post.
“The rumors are out there… so I might as well make it official: I’m proud to announce that I’ll be competing for Miss Utah USA,” she wrote.

Hammond’s story is one of transformation and cultural connection. At 17, she immigrated to the United States, carrying with her the hopes of honoring her Filipino roots while embracing the path ahead.
“As an immigrant… I was searching for a space where I could honor where I came from while embracing who I was becoming,” she said. Pageantry, she said, gave her that platform, which is a space where she could be both proud of her past and empowered by her future.
“All my pageant experiences reminded me how powerful it is to represent two cultures and bridge two worlds,” she added.
Her decision to compete in Utah wasn’t random. She described the state as a place that deeply resonates with her values of “faith, resilience and unity.”
She continued, “This is me standing in the in-between and saying: yes, you can belong in more than one place. Yes, you can be both grounded and growing. And yes, you can lead with both heart and grit.”
Before setting her sights on Utah, Hammond secured a Top 16 finish at Miss California USA 2024 and impressed judges in Miss Universe Philippines 2024, where she became a finalist in both the National Costume and Swimsuit Challenge categories.
A married woman with an impressive career, she also shares bloodline with pageant royalty. Her sister, Jennifer Hammond, was Binibining Pilipinas – Intercontinental 2016 and now heads The Miss Philippines California.
