As the desert winds of Coachella 2025 carried the sound of music and celebration across Indio, California, another Filipino artist made her presence known in the most grounded yet intentional way.
Following actress Liza Soberano’s recent attendance, US-based Filipino Australian singer Ylona Garcia took to Instagram to share her own Coachella moment.
“Music Festivals — The Intersection between Fashion, Art, Travel, Fitness and Music,” she wrote in one caption. “All in all, a lifestyle that encourages self-expression, discovery and community. And personally, an experience that gave me the space to genuinely appreciate this song. Grateful to be here. Ready for more.”

Dressed in a sleek all-black fit that complemented her loose curls and minimal accessories, the Pinoy Big Brother: 737 runner-up exuded both style and sincerity.
She was seen crouched in the midst of the vibrant crowd, AirPods in, soaking in the vibe of the moment – off-stage, yet still fully present.
The artist, who recently released her single “Sick of It,” also opened up in another post about her introverted nature and the journey that led her to say yes to Coachella.

“To be honest, I’m an introvert that would much rather spend time alone in the mountains,” she began, before sharing how a few friends encouraged her to attend.
In that space, Garcia discovered new meaning behind presence – not just in music, but in community. From cheering for fellow artists to championing designers and brand creatives, she recognized that showing up can take many forms.

She went on to share what she had discovered: That presence isn’t limited to the studio or stage. It can be found in the audience, in curated brand spaces or in supporting fashion designers with shared values.
“Presence is a spectrum,” she wrote. “And I’m learning to stretch across it.”
While reflecting on past online remarks about her low-key public image and recycled outfits, Ylona Garcia admitted, “There’s truth in that. But I’m stepping out, slowly. I promise you’ll be seeing more of me soon.”
