Even while serving in the mandatory South Korean military, Jungkook continues to dominate in the global music scene as a soloist.
The K-pop superstar has officially become the highest ranking Korean act on the US Chartmetrics Foreign Artists Chart, landing at an impressive No. 23, even surpassing his own group, BTS.
Moreover, Jungkook’s global influence extends beyond the United States. He is also the only Korean soloist to appear on the UK Chartmetrics Foreign Artists Chart, securing the No. 26 spot.
In doing so, he joins an elite roster of international music icons, including Adele, Celine Dion and One Direction.
Despite his enlistment, Jungkook made time to reconnect with fans.
During a brief military break in December last year, he unexpectedly hosted a Weverse live session which transformed what was supposed to be a casual chat into a three-hour musical treat.
This surprise appearance delighted a lot of ARMYs worldwide.
As anticipation builds, BTS’ long-awaited reunion is now within reach.
With RM and V set to complete their military service on June 10, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11, the countdown to their return is in full swing.
Suga’s discharge on June 22 will officially mark the end of the group’s military chapter, paving the way for a highly anticipated comeback in 2025.
Jin, the eldest member, was the first to complete his service in June 2023, followed by J-Hope in October 2024.
As all seven members reunite, speculation about new music and projects is at an all-time high, keeping fans eagerly awaiting what’s next.
Meanwhile, Jungkook’s ‘I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL’ extended series is now available for streaming on Disney+.
Jungkook’s recent chart achievements and BTS’ imminent return only reinforce their iconic and superstar status in the global music industry.
ARMY, the wait is almost over!
