Filipino American rapper Saweetie is lighting up the charts once again, adding another hit to her ever-expanding discography.

After earning a spot on former US President Barack Obama’s 2024 summer playlist with her track “My Best,” the Bay Area sensation returns with her latest single, “Is It The Way,” all while radiating the same confidence and charisma that has become her signature.

The official music video for “Is It The Way,” now with more than 200,000 views, has already made its debut on YouTube, with visual shots in London and directed by Tajana Tokyo.

Seamlessly marrying the old-school with modern-day swagger, the song itself is a fusion of past and present with soulful, nostalgic samples.

In this track, Saweetie reflects on the attention she’s been receiving while showcasing her growth as an artist. With its trunk-rattling beats and introspective lyrics, “Is It The Way” offers a balance of empowerment and introspection, proving that Saweetie’s music isn’t just catchy and bop as it resonates with deeper meaning.

Empowering women across the globe, “Is It The Way” honors strength, individuality and resilience. Saweetie’s signature ICY Girl mindset is on full display, cementing her not only as a chart-topping artist but also as an inspiration to a new generation.

Last summer, the Fil-Am singer dropped a vibrant summer anthem called “Nani.” The “Richivities” rapper described the song as more than just a track, calling it “the soundtrack to a good time.” The single’s artwork draws direct inspiration from the cover of Grace Jones’ 1985 greatest hits album, Island Life. She is best known for her song “ICY GRL.”
