LOOK: Olivia Rodrigo featured in People’s special edition
Taking a break from her ongoing “Guts” world tour, Filipino American pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo graces the cover of People’s new special edition magazine.
This exclusive issue offers fans an intimate look into the Grammy-award-winning artist’s life, featuring highlights from her current tour, an “everything” guide on her career and personal interests along with music and reading list curated by the “Drivers License” hitmaker herself.
According to People, this special edition, which comes three months after Rodrigo released the deluxe version of her acclaimed 2023 album, “Guts (spilled),” takes readers on a nostalgic journey. It showcases all of Rodrigo’s past interviews with the magazine, chronicling her journey from her early days on Disney to her current status as a leading music artist.
In a candid September 2023 interview included in the issue, Rodrigo discussed the challenges she faced while working on her second album, which followed her smash-hit debut, Sour.
“For the first few months of writing Guts, I was dealing with a lot of noise in my head about whether it was going to be good enough or whether I could ever top what I did on Sour,” she revealed.
The special edition, celebrating the 21-year-old’s rapid ascent to stardom, is now available at newsstands and on Amazon.
Although her tour was originally set to conclude in the US this August, Rodrigo has extended her highly anticipated “Guts” world tour with two additional dates in the US.
Initially scheduled to end with four shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, she will now perform two extra shows at the Intuit Dome in California.
Along with ‘90s alt-rockers The Breeders as the opening act, Rodrigo will take the stage at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood on Aug. 20 and 21. Fans will have the chance to catch performances by Rodrigo and The Breeders at all six shows in California.
