From ‘GUTS’ to Grammy glory, Filipino American Olivia Rodrigo sure knows how to steal the spotlight. Her recent stint? A cake smashing and display of musical genius at “Saturday Night Live.”

Just when we thought we couldn’t get any more surprised when she hinted about a possible stop in the Philippines for her ‘Guts’ tour, her showstopping performance at SNL is another bomb drop.

Her return to the show since her first appearance in 2021 is nothing short of memorable — table dancing, a lovely serenade and some cake smashing for the finale was something we never saw coming.

We give it to her, she didn’t just perform but she owned the SNL stage. With her rendezvous with a piano, Olivia Rodrigo belted the soulful version of “Vampire,” a song from her album “GUTS.”

But sit tight, as the real scene-stealer was the “All-American Bitch.” She redefined sweet with a subtle rogue as she sat at a tea party unleashing chaos, dancing on tables and painting her face with blood-red cake.

Her closing? A lounge-out salute in front of the camera. Here’s the video:

“I had so many voices in my head, and I felt so much pressure to please everyone with the music I was making,” Rodrigo shared while accepting Variety’s Storyteller of the Year Award.

Aside from this award, the Grammy 2024 spotlight is also shining on Olivia Rodrigo leading the race with six nominations. “GUTS” is nominated for Album of the Year while “Vampire” is running for both Song and Record of the Year.
