Red Ribbon Maryland opens with a bang: A cake every month for a year to first 20 customers
A spoonful of ube overload or mango supreme cake from Red Ribbon—how good is that? Well, if you live in Maryland, Red Ribbon Bakeshop is finally opening its doors in Wheaton to serve all these delectable delights and more.
The sweet revolution is underway as Red Ribbon Maryland is set to open on Sept. 23. Located at 2501 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, Maryland, the Red Ribbon Maryland branch is just two blocks away from the Wheaton Metro Station.
And in celebration of its first bakeshop in the Mid-Atlantic state, Red Ribbon Maryland is rolling out the red carpet for its first 20 customers—who will each receive a mango supreme cake “every month for an entire year.”

More sweet deals await
If you fail to fall in line early, don’t fret, as there’s more sweet surprises in store for you. The first 100 customers on opening day and the first 50 customers on day two who purchase at least $50 worth of products will be gifted with assorted mamon packs.
While this Filipino bakery chain is popular for its cakes, it also offers a range of sweet and savory options, like the cheesy ensaymada, butter mamon, chicken empanada, and pancit palabok.

But a definite highlight is the ube overload cake made with the finest “ube” (purple yam). Each layer of this ube chiffon cake is generously filled with real Philippine ube halaya, giving you a taste of home with every bite.

Red Ribbon’s journey
Founded by a Filipino family in 1979, Red Ribbon Bakeshop has since grown into a global sensation with over 500 locations worldwide, 41 of which are in the United States.
But the expansion isn’t stopping anytime soon. The Jollibee Foods Corporation-acquired brand plans to branch out in other US locations, including Brooklyn, New York where a new Jollibee branch is also set to open this month.
So whether you’re a Maryland local or a Filipino American passing by near the area, Red Ribbon Maryland is making Wheaton a little sweeter, one slice at a time.
