Renowned actor Ray Liotta died last year, and his cause of death was finally revealed. Liotta, well-known for his role in the film “Goodfellas,” died at age 67.
The actor passed away while sleeping on May 26, 2022, in the Dominican Republic. They were on the location for the filming of “Dangerous Waters.” He died of respiratory and heart problems.
According to a TMZ report, the actor struggled with pulmonary edema. It is an abnormal formation of water in the lungs. It mainly contributed to his death.
Moreover, he also had acute heart failure and respiratory insufficiency. Medical records also showed he experienced atherosclerosis.
It is a condition where the arteries thicken due to plaque formation in the inner surface, which is an underlying problem.

After announcing his death, Liotta’s fiancée shared a post on Instagram expressing her grief and love. She said that their relationship was “truly magical.”
In addition, she also described how they shared a deep love that she will remember forever. She wrote that their chemistry was “wild in the best way,” and they were inseparable as a couple.
