The internet reacts to PewDiePie’s unexpected comeback on Twitch

/ 07:32 PM March 22, 2023

PewDiePie made a surprise comeback after years of hiatus. His followers are baffled and left wondering if someone hacked his page.

Felix Kjellberg, aka PewDiePie is a YouTube sensation who made history with more than 100 million subscribers on his first channel.

After getting on top of the throne, he went dormant for years until his page became active again recently. During his rise to fame, the Swedish content creator also did streaming.

He mainly featured Minecraft before he signed a contract with Live. However, that deal didn’t last long, which resulted in his infrequent YouTube streams these past years.

He just proceeded to Q&A video content with his fans. PewDiePie also dips his toes into Twitch streaming, gaining over 1.3 million followers. Again, that didn’t last long, and the channel was inactive for years.

Surprisingly, on March 21, a strange content appeared on his Twitch channel. It was a rebroadcast of some of his old videos. Fans assumed his account was hacked.

What made it weirder was when PewDiePie’s channel started showing episodes of Trailer Park Boys, a Canadian comedy show. But this part had already been deleted from his Twitch account.

Some fans wondered if his team was behind it or if somebody had hacked his account. Fans took it to Twitter and expressed their curiosity.

After a few moments, some of his followers spotted a message in CoPilotMedia’s chat. It was a media empire that specialized in re-streaming specific franchises thru the creator’s channels.

Their message assured the fans that it wasn’t a hack. The media company also stated that the channel would return on March 22 to do the same thing.

C0PilotMedia posted, “This is an official channel. This was a quick beta test. Back in a bit.” PewDiePie’s channel has not streamed again since that message. However, it is something that fans need to watch out for.

According to Dexerto, the YouTuber didn’t comment, which left fans in confusion. PewDiePie is currently busy and looking forward to the arrival of his first newborn with his wife, Maria Kjellberg.
