Filipina wins $250,000 in Saskatchewan, Canada lottery

Marivic Viernes, a Filipina resident of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada won $250,000 by matching all seven digits of the winning Extra number, 5551351, on the Dec. 12 PICK 2 draw.
Viernes bought her ticket at the Circle K Convenience on Kramer Blvd. in Regina and found out that she won after scanning her ticket on the Lotto Spot app.
She and her husband learned someone in Regina won but didn’t expect it would be them.
“I was just crying and crying,” Viernes told news media. “My husband was with me at the time and asked me to stop crying but I couldn’t help it,” she laughed.
