Filipina gig worker in Maryland wins $1M scratch-off lotto prize
A 47-year-old Filipina Door Dash driver in Millersville, Maryland won the top-prize in Million Dollar Mega Multiplier scratch-off.
On June 12, the Anne Arundel County resident, who opted not to disclose her name, bought a $20 scratch-off ticket and it turned out to be a $1 million top-prize winner.
She stopped by a 7-Eleven store at 500 Donaldson Ave in Severn, bought the ticket and started scratching it in her car outside the store. Upon revealing the big win, and while still in shock, she called her sister to share the news.
No plans have yet been made for her newfound fortune except for a trip back home to the Philippines to visit her father.

The 7-Eleven store will receive a $1,000 bonus for its role in selling a top-prize winning scratch-of ticket worth $1 million.
The Million Dollar Mega Multiplier ticket was launched in July 2022. It began with seven $1 million top prizes, and there are still two remaining.
