Janet Nepales’ tribute to Filipino red carpet fashion genius, now on Amazon
Janet Susan R. Nepales’ first book, “FASHION. Filipino. Hollywood. The World,” which Filipino fashion and lifestyle journalist Thelma Sioson San Juan hailed as a “masterpiece,” is now available on Amazon.
Originally published as a limited 12 x 14 hardbound coffee table edition, “FASHION. Filipino. Hollywood. The World.” sold out. The book, a tribute to Filipino fashion designers’ genius as seen in the world’s top red carpet events, is out on Amazon in a handier 8.5 x 11 paperback version.
“FASHION” features stunning spreads of designer dresses and red carpet photos of top stars, talents and celebrities, mostly taken by ace Hollywood photographer, Fil-Am Sthanlee B. Mirador.
The debut book features more than 200 pages of full-color photos of glamour and style. Fifteen Filipino fashion designers are highlighted, along with the world’s best couturiers, as showcased in photos of their beautiful creations. Photos by renowned fashion lensmen, led by Filbert Diego Kung, are also highlighted in the book.
The tome is the second publishing project of Bessie Badilla under her Queen-B Multi-Media Productions, following the success of Ruben V. Nepales’ “Through A Writer’s Lens,” which won first prize, best non-fiction book, in the 14th National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards, presented by the Los Angeles Press Club. As with Ruben’s book, Badilla also did the layout and design of “FASHION.”
