As BTS members inch closer to completing their military service this June, the group’s global momentum shows no signs of slowing down especially with J-Hope making his mark in cinemas worldwide.

J-Hope’s latest project, “J-Hope Tour: ‘Hope on the Stage’ in Japan – Live Viewing,” has officially entered the North American box office top 10, earning an estimated $939,173 during its opening weekend, according to industry reports and Forbes.

The concert film, which offered a one-night-only global screening, allowed fans to relive the electrifying Osaka stop of J-Hope’s solo tour in a theatrical setting.

The live viewing event resonated deeply with fans across the globe, contributing to its strong international showing. The film pulled in over $4.1 million worldwide, with the majority of revenue coming from audiences outside the United States.

“J-Hope Tour: ‘Hope on the Stage’ in Japan – Live Viewing” joined an impressive list of box office hits as it rounded out the domestic top 10 alongside titles like “Thunderbolts,” “Friendship” and “The Last Rodeo.” 

Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” live-action remake took the top spot, surpassing “Sinners” to become the second-highest grossing movie of the year with $280 million in domestic ticket sales.

“Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” was second, followed by “Karate Kid: Legends” opening in third place. Fourth place went to “Final Destination Bloodlines” while the horror film “Bring Her Back” opened in fifth place.

“J-Hope Tour: ‘Hope on the Stage’ in Japan – Live Viewing” was a celebration of J-Hope’s artistry and a testament to BTS’ continued impact even while on hiatus.

The global event united ARMYs in cinemas from Tokyo to Toronto, all cheering on the rapper, dancer and singer-songwriter as he commanded the stage with passion and precision.
