Elaine Welteroth is leaving ‘The Talk’ after series 1
Elaine Welteroth, The Talk’s co-host has left the show after one season.
The 34-year-old host joined the program as a full-time host in January 2021 while running on some hosting gigs in 2020. Welteroth is content on her short run on The Talk as she has been her “authentic self” in front of live viewers. She thinks it’s about time to move on to other projects.
Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews, the show’s executive producers said, “ We wish Elaine the best. We are grateful for her passion, enthusiasm, and insight she brought to the show daily,”.
While Welteroth had come up with such a decision, she’s proud of her contribution to the show. She stated, “It is an absolute honor for anyone, but especially a young Black woman, to occupy space on-air where our perspectives are largely underrepresented. It was gratifying to be able to show up as my authentic self in front of a live national audience every day in a world as divided as ours and to stay true to myself and what I stand for.”
