Kanye West’s third ‘Donda’ listening party recap
Album or no album, Kanye West’s “Donda” third listening party was more than just all sparks. The event was broadcasted live on Thursday night. While the first two live streaming took place in Atlanta, this new one was broadcasted in his Chicago hometown. Although it started two hours late, the show was present with many memorable moments.
Team West made an effort the planning the listening party. A replica of West’s childhood home was present inside Soldier Field. The house replica was all-out with candles and vehicles with a big screen showing Bible verses.

West, who is currently pursuing his name change to Ye, still has no new album announcement. But his latest listening event got the social media all buzzed up.
The rapper came out dressed in an all-black outfit. West’s choice of guests made the night controversial. Marilyn Manson, who is dealing with sexual assault and abuse cases, joined West on stage.

DaBaby, who’s recently faced many backfires from his homophobic comments, was featured on a song originally Jay-Z’s. Several new songs were also on Donda on its third public event. Social media people called this trio of performances the “canceled avengers.”

The closing of the event featured a re-enactment of a wedding ceremony. A woman appeared dressed in a wedding gown and met Kanye on stage, then walked off after. There were speculations that the woman was Kim Kardashian, who just filed a divorce from West.

Since last year, West has been teasing Donda. July last year, he released a song snippet titled “Donda.” The song was about West’s late mother Donda. He also tweeted a 20-song tracklist but deleted it and shared an updated 12-song tracklist of his new album, Donda.
Donda’s release was still unknown. As of August 27, “Donda” wasn’t available on any streaming platforms.
