PG&E partners with Phil-American Press Club for wildfire safety webinar

/ 12:00 AM August 18, 2021

Wildfire season is here, and more than ever Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) would like to prepare everyone in its service area for any emergency.

With this in mind, PG&E is collaborating with the Philippine American Press Club USA (PAPC) to reach as many Filipino American communities in Northern California. A webinar open to the public will give tips on wildfire safety, prevention efforts, and resources to help customers with disabilities before, during and after a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS).

Webinar presenter is Regina Venzon, a Filipina American senior legal and business executive, and currently, chief of staff to the president and CEO of PG&E. Participants can ask questions about fire safety and prevention.

Topics to be discussed will include PG&E’s Community Wildfire Safety Program, Public Safety Power Shutoff events, PG&E’s Medical Baseline Program; and Resources to help our customers prepare for the wildfire season. The webinar will be conducted in Taglish. For questions, contact PAPC at (650) 270-0089.
