Cowboys vs Steelers – Dallas defeated in Hall of Fame game
The 16-3 victory by the Pittsburgh Steelers over Dallas Cowboys left all Dallas fans reeling in this Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. The game wrapped up this year’s NFL preseason with Micah Parsons and Najee Harris on center stage for their respective teams that game night.
As Micah Parsons stated, “it was bittersweet that I didn’t get to play a lot. I’m going to build off of it”.
The Cowboys stumbled four times while the Steelers fumbled three times as Kalen Ballage rushed for a score and receiver Tyler Simmons caught another in a game spiked by sloppy play. Add up Cowboys’ Hunter Niswander’s one missed point, and three missed field goals.

While Harris ended his first NFL pre-season game with seven carries, Josh Dobbs, Pittsburgh quarterback, capped the night off, scoring a 5-yard pass to Simmons in the 4th quarter for a 16-3 lead.
For Pittsburgh’s start off, Mason Rudolph completed 6 of 9 passes for 84 yards. Garrett Gilbert started for the Cowboys with a completion of 9 of 13 passes for 104 yards.
Najee Harris, Pittsburgh’s first-round draft pick, rushed seven times for 22 yards. Pittsburgh’s Chase Claypool seized three passes for 62 yards. Ballage hustles five times for 19 yards.

Rico Dowdle, a second-year rusher, scored the Cowboys eight carries for 43 yards. Malik Turner caught four passes for 47 yards. That interception could have been the Steelers’ highlight, but Pittsburgh’s Rush great throw wides out Malik Turner into a fast recovery.
Ending with a messy, low-scoring game, the Cowboys got messier, which the Steelers took advantage of. Though the Cowboys had a 3-0 lead, DiNucci sailed a pass into rookie Donovan Stiner that made this interception leading the Steelers to take a 6-3 lead.

Cowboy’s backups’ inability to score didn’t help much on their game as it placed too much pressure on the defense to make a play after Parsons and Co. left.
While the Steelers got their momentum at the second half of the game, they maintained to add more points to make sure DiNucci and the Cowboys won’t soar for a preseason comeback.
