HONOLULU — Longtime supporter Eddie Flores Jr., president and CEO of the L&L Hawaiian Barbecue chain, recently donated $15,000 to the Filipino Community Center, the largest such venue outside of the Philippines.

This isn’t the first time Flores has given to FilCom Center. He served as FilCom Center’s first vice president in the 1990s, was instrumental in raising the $14.2 million it took to build the facility and still teaches classes there in entrepreneurship.

FilCom Center located at 94-428 Mokuola St. in Waipahu provides a range of social and educational services, including Ilocano language immersion courses, citizenship classes, cultural music concerts and more.
