Pop superstar Taylor Swift may be on a social media break, but even that couldn’t stop her from showing love to Swiftie and recent college grad Natalia Bryant.
The 22-year-old daughter of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant recently graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California and marked the moment with a fun TikTok.
In the video, Natalia and three of her friends, all decked out in white dresses and USC’s signature red-and-gold stoles, lip-synced to Swift’s song “Nothing New (Taylor’s Version).”
The lyric they chose? “How can a person know everything at 18 but nothing at 22? And will you still want me when I’m nothing new?” A pretty spot-on pick for someone who just stepped into post-college life.
But the best part? The Grammy-award winning singer and songwriter liked the video and her fans, the Swifties, noticed immediately. It was a blink-and-you-miss-it kind of moment, but Swifties everywhere went into celebration mode and got super thrilled to see the pop queen reappear online, even just for a second.
While the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker’s like was subtle, it meant the world to fans.
Taylor Swift and the Bryants have shared sweet moments in the past, with Swift previously honoring Kobe during one of her concerts and sharing kind words after his passing. This tiny digital nod felt like a full-circle moment, wrapped in glitter and graduation caps.
And honestly? Who needs a diploma frame when you have Taylor Swift’s virtual thumbs-up?
Earlier this month, many expected Swift to be front and center in Las Vegas where her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, was making headlines. But she had a very valid reason for skipping the desert drama. Instead, the singer opted for a cross-country detour to New York City, where she celebrated her bestie Gigi Hadid’s 30th birthday.
