K-pop supergroup BTS has long cemented its place in global music history, but even as individual members explore solo ventures, they continue to dominate the charts, one member at a time.
The latest to shine is RM, the group’s leader, and his latest achievement is proof of that enduring star power.
Teaming up with Epik High’s Tablo, RM has officially landed a No. 1 hit in the United States with their recent collaboration “Stop the Rain,” which shot to the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart as of May 3.
“Stop the Rain” marks the BTS member’s seventh No. 1 on the US iTunes chart – a feat for any artist, especially one primarily known as part of a group.
His previous chart-toppers highlight his wide-ranging collaborations and musical depth, including “Winter Flower” with Younha, “Don’t” with eAeon, “Wild Flower” with youjeen, “Smoke Sprite” with So!YoON!, “Don’t Ever Say Love Me” with Colde and “Neva Play” with Megan Thee Stallion.
Each track reflects the K-pop superstar’s versatility and his unique ability to blend seamlessly with artists across genres and styles.
As BTS fans celebrate RM’s solo success, the K-pop septet is preparing for an even bigger moment which is their long-awaited full-group comeback.
According to official reports, RM and V are set to be discharged from military service on June 10, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11.
Suga will then complete his service on June 21, marking the end of their military hiatus.
BTS is expected to reunite on stage shortly after, with fans around the world already anticipating their triumphant return. No matter the phase – group or solo – BTS continues to prove that their global impact is unstoppable.
“The members of BTS are going to finish their military duties within the first half of this year and return to their activities,” HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang shared in an interview with Korea JoongAng Daily.
He noted that the company is already in talks with prominent songwriters, signaling that creative momentum is building.
