Sharing the screen with Hollywood A-listers, Filipina powerhouse actress Dolly de Leon continues her international momentum as she lands a role in the second season of Hulu’s “Nine Perfect Strangers.”
Set in the snow-capped Austrian Alps, the second season promises a fresh batch of psychological tension and spiritual unraveling.
A Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee, de Leon joins an ensemble cast that includes Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, Henry Golding, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Lena Olin, Murray Bartlett, Liv Ullmann, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Aras Aydin.
The upcoming season sees Kidman reprising her role as Masha Dmitrichenko, the mysterious retreat guru who once again guides a group of strangers through a harrowing wellness journey.
According to the official synopsis, “nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Kidman) to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she?”

Hulu has unveiled first-look photos of the new season, which is slated to premiere on May 21, with a caption “Your transformation begins soon…”
First-look photos offer glimpses of de Leon’s mysterious character. One image captures her bundled up in winter wear, standing outdoors in the snow alongside fellow cast members King Princess and Annie Murphy.
In another photo, she’s seen sitting cross-legged on the floor with the rest of the group, a serene yet tense moment captured mid-retreat. One more image even shows her seated beside Kidman’s character, suggesting an intriguing dynamic between the two.
The debut will kick off with a double-episode drop, followed by weekly installments.
The move further cements de Leon’s standing as a global talent, following her breakout role in “Triangle of Sadness.”
While her character in “Nine Perfect Strangers” remains under wraps, her inclusion in such a high-profile cast has already sparked excitement among fans and industry watchers.
