The 2025 Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) in Los Angeles, California, has brought together some of the biggest names in Philippine entertainment.
Among those in attendance are Piolo Pascual, Dingdong Dantes, Lorna Tolentino, Janice de Belen – and Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, stars of the highly anticipated film “My Love Will Make You Disappear.” The duo will take part in press interviews ahead of the movie’s North American release on March 28.

Beyond their MIFF appearance, the “Linlang” co-stars are also actively promoting the film, engaging with media to introduce the film to a wider audience.
Meanwhile, Kapuso actors Ruru Madrid and Sofia Pablo are also in LA to represent “Green Bones,” which has been making significant noise after its success at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

The film earned multiple accolades, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Child Performer.
Dingdong Dantes, who won MIFF’s Best Actor award for “Rewind,” is also present at the festival, along with Piolo Pascual, who was spotted on the first day of the event.

Excitement continued to build as the film festival kicked off on Tuesday at the iconic TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. The organization wrote, “Day one of MIFF was a success! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support! Day two is already here and we can’t wait to share more Filipino Cinema with you!”
The MIFF lineup features 10 films from the MMFF, including Jun Robles Lana’s “And the Breadwinner Is…” and Jason Paul Laxamana’s “Hold Me Close,” alongside special screenings of historic Filipino films such as Genghis Khan (1950) and A Filipino in America (1938).
Adding to the star-studded event is powerhouse singer Morissette, who stars in “Song of the Fireflies,” alongside Krystal Brimner, Noel Comia Jr., and Rachel Alejandro.
The film, which tells the inspiring story of the world-renowned Loboc Children’s Choir from Bohol, blends a heartfelt coming-of-age narrative with stirring musical performances.
