“Ex Ex Lovers,” produced by Project 8 Projects, is slated to premiere in theaters across the US and Canada on Feb. 21.
Originally intended for streaming, the movie’s grand cinematic release was decided after Agustin, Magdangal and the production team, led by renowned director Antoinette Jadaone, felt that the reunion of the beloved tandem deserved the full big-screen experience.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment for us, and we want to share it with our audience in the best way possible,” the production team expressed in a press release.
The film, partially shot in Malta, delves into the question of whether love from the past can reignite under new circumstances. The story revolves around Joy (Magdangal), who embarks on a journey to Europe at the request of her daughter SC (Loisa Andalio).
