There’s definitely no stopping Blackpink’s Rosé from reaching greater heights as a solo artist.
Rosé has long held multiple records with her globally renowned group, but her solo accomplishments, most especially in 2024 stretching to this year, are equally impressive.
The K-pop superstar continues to cement her status as a trailblazer in K-pop history as she has recently achieved yet another groundbreaking milestone, earning her a Guinness World Record that no other K-pop idol has ever claimed before. Well, not just once but this marks Rosé’s fifth world record.
Guinness World Records recently confirmed that Rosé is the first K-pop artist to top the Apple Music Top 100 Global Chart. The record-breaking moment occurred on Oct. 24 last year, when her collaborative single “APT.” with Filipino American Grammy-award winning artist Bruno Mars soared to the chart’s pinnacle.
In an official statement made through their official social media pages, Guinness noted, “Rosé has been confirmed as the first K-pop artist to make it to No. 1 on Apple Music’s Top 100: Global chart. She scored her first No. 1 on October 24th with ‘APT.’”

This achievement adds another layer to the singer’s already illustrious career. Just weeks earlier, Rosé became the first K-pop soloist to land a Top 10 hit on the UK charts.
However, Rosé’s groundbreaking streak does not stop there. Her collaborative hit song has also made waves in the US, earning a spot in Billboard’s coveted Radio Songs Top 10.
With this achievement, she becomes the first female K-pop artist to break into the chart’s upper echelon.
The track’s success has also surpassed the legacy of Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” which previously held the record for the highest-charting K-pop solo act on US radio, reaching No. 11 in 2012.
Additionally, the collab with Bruno Mars has not only set records but also earned accolades, including the “Song of the Year” award at the Asia Artist Awards, and it is now nominated for “Best Music Video” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
