Bianca Bustamante gears up for Monza after Singapore setbacks
Following a challenging outing at the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix, Filipino American racing sensation Bianca Bustamante is now revving up for a fresh challenge at the renowned Monza circuit.
Despite the recent disappointments, the first Filipina McLaren Development driver’s spirit remains unbroken as she prepares to compete in the Euro 4 and Italian F4 championships with ART Grand Prix.
In an announcement on Instagram, the 19-year-old racer expressed her excitement, stating, “Extremely excited to announce that I’ll be racing in the Monza rounds of Euro 4 & @f4_italian_championship with @artgp_official!”

She added, “I can’t wait to be racing on my favorite track in the world and look forward to the big challenge ahead. Focused on driving well this weekend and making steps forward, especially coming back competing in a mixed series.”
Her resilience is evident as she reflects on her recent performance in Singapore, where she faced a tough weekend at the iconic Marina Bay Street Circuit from Sept. 20 to 22.
In Race 1, she placed last, and in Race 2, she finished 14th out of 16 competitors. Although these results were not what she had anticipated, Bustamante chose to view the experience as an opportunity for growth.
“It was a challenging race, but I’m taking the lessons learned and looking forward to the next challenge,” she said.
As the first Filipina driver under the McLaren Development program, Bustamante is determined to overcome the setbacks and channel her energy into her upcoming races. She expressed gratitude towards her sponsors, Gotyme Bank and Lance East Exotics, for their unwavering support in making her participation in the Monza event possible.
