Harris, who traveled to Arizona on Friday and visited the US-Mexico border, began the day in San Francisco for another campaign event, then traveled to Los Angeles. Although her exact travel plans are never released publicly, she will likely spend the night at her home in Brentwood.

On Sunday, she is scheduled to attend an afternoon fundraising reception. The location has not been released.

According to an invitation first obtained by Deadline, tickets to the event start at $500 per person, rising as high as $1 million — which includes four tickets to the event, a reception with Harris, luncheon and a photo.

Proceeds will benefit the Harris Victory Fund, which is a joint committee that includes Harris’ campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state Democratic parties.

Following the Los Angeles event, Harris is scheduled to fly to Nevada for another fundraiser.

The vice president posted the following statement on X regarding her trip to the border: “I reject the false choice that we must decide between securing our border and creating a system of immigration that is safe, orderly, and humane. We can and we must do both.”

Harris’ Republican opponent, Donald Trump, was in the Southland on Sept. 12 and 13, when he attended a fundraiser in the Beverly Hills area and held a news conference at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes.

California Republican Party Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson released the following statement Saturday morning about Harris’ visit to the state where she once served as attorney general:

“Fresh off of checking in on the disaster she created at our southern border, Kamala Harris returns to California to check in on the disaster she created in her home state. California is less safe, less affordable and less energy independent today because of the reckless policies she championed in her time serving our state. With a record like hers, the last thing failed California Democrat Kamala Harris deserves is a promotion to the Oval Office.” (CNS)
