Janella Salvador, Thai actor Win Metawin’s film released in 13 countries
“Sometimes, the little changes and little transitions define the true meaning of life.” This message will soon resonate with even more audiences across the globe as the reach of the film, “Under Parallel Skies,” expands.
The first-time collaboration between Thai actor and “2Gether: The Series” star Win Metawin and Filipino actress Janella Salvador has made its mark across 13 countries since its theatrical debut.
Directed by Sigrid Bernardo, the film premiered at the 17th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong on March 11, receiving warm reception as part of the prestigious event’s program.

The film’s impressive global reach includes releases in the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Brunei and Japan.
The film had its premiere in the Philippines on April 17, Singapore on May 1
and Thailand on May 9.

Richard Juan, executive producer and CEO of 28 Squared Studios, took to social media to express his gratitude and excitement over the film’s success.
“Under Parallel Skies” has reached 13 countries and territories for its theatrical run,” he wrote. “It feels incredibly rewarding to see our hard work resonate with audiences across different markets. I am filled with gratitude”
Japanese audiences have first embraced the film since its initial release at Cine Libre Ikebukuro in Tokyo from Sept. 6 to 12.
Due to the overwhelming support from moviegoers, “Under Parallel Skies” is set for an extended run in Japan, expanding to three additional locations beginning Sept. 13.

Juan also acknowledged the support of Combrains, the film’s local partner in Japan, for making the expanded release possible.
“Under Parallel Skies” continues to generate buzz with its blend of storytelling and cross-cultural collaboration. It is considered one of the most anticipated film projects of the year, showcasing the talents of Metawin and Salvador.
