Fil-Canadian artist Mico teases new EP ahead of 2024 US tour
As Filipino Canadian singer-songwriter Mico prepares for his 2024 US tour, set to kick off in September in Los Angeles, the pop-punk artist has also announced the upcoming release of his fifth EP in October.
Taking to Instagram, Mico shared a photo of himself in his room, reminiscent of an EP cover, and revealed that his new album, titled “Internet Hometown Hero,” will be out on Oct. 25.
Alongside this announcement, he dropped his latest single from the album, “Idontwannaknowyou!”

The album will feature a total of eight tracks, including recent releases like “Homesick.” Moreover, the Toronto-based artist encouraged his fans, known as the Amicos, to “pre-save in my bio, or by DMing me ‘INTERNET.’”
Building on the excitement for his US tour, Mico wrote, “Tour starts in two weeks!!! Who am I seeing? Tickets are still available if you feel like canceling your other plans <3 link in bio,” along with the concert dates.
In a playful move, Mico previously posted a sample “medical excuse letter” on Instagram, urging fans to cancel their plans and attend his concerts.

On June 24, Mico officially unveiled the tour poster on Instagram, announcing the “Cancel Your Plans Tour” and encouraging fans to sign up for pre-sale.
He expressed his excitement, saying, “So excited to play these shows in a lot of new cities (and one familiar one)… Tickets are available right now for Amicos membership holders (see my last post), but text pre-sale starts tomorrow @ 10am local time + general sale on Friday @ 10am local time. Hope to see you there :)”
The “Cut My Hair” artist will kick off his tour in Los Angeles on Sept. 11, followed by stops in San Diego on Sept. 12, Las Vegas on Sept. 13, Phoenix on Sept. 15, Dallas on Sept. 18, Austin on Sept. 19, Houston on Sept. 20, Orlando on Sept. 24, Atlanta on Sept. 26 and Nashville on Sept. 27.
Last year, the Filipino artist embarked on his first-ever North American tour, titled the “Fantasy Tour.”
