After Krishnah Gravidez relinquished her title as Miss Charm Philippines, the spotlight now shines on a former Miss Universe Philippines 2024 candidate from Northern California.

Filipino American Kayla Carter has been appointed to represent the Philippines at the upcoming Miss Charm 2024 pageant.

The Miss Charm organization revealed that this year’s edition of Miss Charm will take place in the United States. The competition is set to begin on Aug. 12, with the coronation night slated for Aug. 24.

To garner support, the organization has launched an exclusive voting campaign on the Miss Charm Tap App. The campaign urges Filipino pageant fans to cast their votes to help the “Too Much to Handle Season 2” star clinch a spot in the finals.

Voting will help candidates secure a spot in the finals. The contestant with the third highest number of votes will be guaranteed a place in the Top 20. The candidate with the second highest will advance to the Top 10, and the one with the highest will secure a spot directly in the Top 5.

Kayla Carter, the 27-year-old Miss Charm Philippines representative, hails from Talisay, Cebu. Her selection as Miss Charm Philippines 2024 was bolstered by her existing US visa, allowing her to immediately focus on preparations for the upcoming pageant.

The Miss Charm Philippines organization announced on July 6 that Carter was the ideal choice for the title vacated by now Miss World Philippines 2024 Krishnah Gravidez.

“As fate would have it, the Miss Charm Philippines 2024 slot was vacated and needed a new representative,” they wrote on Instagram. “As one of the highest-ranking delegates who meets all other requirements, Carter was easily the best choice. Not having to worry about securing a US Visa meant that she could immediately focus on planning and preparation for the competition.”

As the pageant draws near, supporters and Filipino pageant fans are encouraged to rally behind her and help her achieve success in the Miss Charm 2024 competition, following the first runner-up finish of Annabelle McDonnell in Miss Charm 2023.
