Initially aired on the South Korean TV Network TVN from April 8 to May 28, the K-drama was also made accessible on streaming platforms Viu and Viki.
In “Lovely Runner,” Ryu Sun Jae is depicted as a top Hallyu star, while Kim Hye Yoon portrayed Sol, a dedicated fan of Sun Jae. “Lovely Runner” is a 2024 South Korean television series based on a web novel titled “Tomorrow’s Best,” which was also serialized as a webtoon by illustrator Doong Doong.
For the unfamiliar, the story follows Sol, once a promising film director whose dreams were crushed by an accident that left her paralyzed, finds comfort in the music of Sun-jae. Her world shatters once more when Sun-jae dies by suicide, leaving her devastated. However, fate intervenes, and Sol awakens in a classroom 15 years in the past.
After the successful run of the series, Byeon held the Manila leg of his “Summer Letter” fan tour at the New Frontier Theater.
Woo Seok is known for his roles in “Record of Youth” (2020), “Soulmate” (2023) and “20th Century Girl” (2022). One common thing about most of his characters in the past is that he always dies.
Meanwhile, Hye Yoon is known for her iconic role in “Extraordinary You” (2019) and “SKY Castle” (2018). She also had an appearance in “True Beauty” (2020) and a lot more K-dramas in the past.
