Kendra Kramer experienced a core memory for the books!
The young Filipino star got the chance to bring the character “Joy” to life in the highly anticipated sequel “Inside Out 2,” now showing in cinemas worldwide.
On June 13, Kendra took to Instagram with a video from her visit to Pixar headquarters in California, where she stepped into the recording studio to portray the optimistic character “Joy” from the 2015 Academy Award-winning film.
In the video, Kendra nails the trending “Who made the console orange?” scene with the new character “Anxiety.”
Bursting with excitement, the social media sensation and daughter of Chesca Garcia and Doug Kramer wrote, “What an experience to try and voice my favorite character in @disneystudios Inside Out 2, Joy!”

“This was soo much fun! Would be a dream to land a role like this,” she added. “Thank you to Pixar and Disney for giving me a sneak peek into how your movies are meticulously made!”
The video also shows Kendra smiling as she watches her performance alongside Pixar staff and her dad. One staff member couldn’t help but cheer, “You’re so good!”
Her father, basketball player Doug, wrote in the comments, “We all push Kendra to voice a future character! Hahaha! Let’s go Kenny!” while her mother Chesca expressed, “Core memory.”
“Inside Out 2” continues to follow Riley as she navigates teenage life with new emotions like “Anxiety,” “Ennui,” “Envy” and “Embarrassment” joining “Joy” and her team of emotions.

According to Deadline, on Wednesday, the sequel raked in an impressive $1.5 million in the Philippines, marking the third biggest opening day ever, trailing only behind Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War. This blockbuster debut, coinciding with the country’s Independence Day, was seven times higher than the original Inside Out and over 22 times greater than Kung Fu Panda 4.
