Remember the Filipino American twins from the Bay Area who impressed “The Voice” coaches by singing a One Direction hit? Justin and Jeremy Garcia went all the way to the playoffs in the latest season of NBC’s popular reality singing competition.

The 18-year-old twins earned a three-chair turn from Dan + Shay, Chance the Rapper and Reba McEntire with their “Story of My Life” performance.

Their journey on “The Voice” took an exciting turn when, after losing to Frank Garcia in the battle rounds, they were stolen by Reba. In the knockout rounds, the twins delivered a soulful rendition of Calum Scott’s “You Are The Reason.” They concluded their impressive run with a powerful performance of Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill” at the playoffs.

Following their elimination, the twins took to Facebook to express their gratitude. “Goodbye The Voice. It’s been a great run,” they wrote.

They reflected on their journey, sharing, “This journey has been such an amazing experience for the both of us! From meeting and becoming friends with all of the other contestants, learning from the coaches, to performing on ‘The Voice’ stage, we are so grateful to have been able to share our story and our art with the world.”

They also shared how growing up, they were inspired by watching singers perform on “The Voice,” calling it a “dream come true” to have been part of the show themselves.

“Just being able to step foot on ‘The Voice’ stage was an honor, so making it this far along the competition is more than what we could’ve ever asked for,” they expressed, giving a huge shoutout to everyone involved in making the show.

Shortly after their stint on “The Voice,” the twins opened for the 40th anniversary concert of Odette Quesada in California. They were also invited to perform at several Filipino American events in the US, including the recent Pista Pinoy 2024 on June 8 in Bolingbrook.

The future looks bright for Justin and Jeremy as they continue to pursue their musical dreams, one performance at a time.
