The inaugural search begins for Miss World Philippines USA 2024
A new set of queens representing the Filipino community in the United States at the Miss World Philippines (MWP) will be crowned this August, with the application process ongoing.
The Filipino American representative, under the Miss World Philippines USA (MWP-USA) franchise, will be competing in next year’s edition of the Miss World Philippines.

This year marks the inaugural search for MWP-USA, following a kickoff event hosted by McLelland Entertainment Production (MEP), the exclusive franchise holder of MWP-USA.
MEP Executive Director Mary Jane McLelland expressed her enthusiasm for bringing Miss World Philippines to the US, highlighting her passion for showcasing the beauty and talent of Filipino women on a global stage.
For the Fil-Am beauties wanting to join the debut search of MWP-USA, candidates must meet the following qualifications: ages 17-27, at least 5-feet-4 in height, never been married nor borne a child, possessing both beauty and brains.
“It’s my passion and it’s my core, and I want to inspire people. Specifically, I want to empower women. I want Filipina women to shine not only in the Philippines and the United States but throughout the entire world,” McLelland stated.
The crowns at stake will be Miss World Philippines USA and Miss Grand Philippines USA. Unlike MWP-USA, Miss Grand Philippines USA will compete in this year’s edition.
“We have already seen significant interest in joining the pageant even before the official launch of MWP-USA. We will ensure that this maiden event sets a new standard of excellence in the pageantry world,” she said.
The Miss World Philippines 2024 pageant has officially announced its 18 candidates, creating a stir in the pageant community with a mix of newcomers and seasoned contestants. However, the excitement doesn’t stop there. An additional 26 candidates from local and international franchise holders are set to join the competition.
