Victoria Vincent asks fans to support her Miss Universe New Zealand bid

Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2021, Victoria Velasquez Vincent, is proving that the journey never truly ends as she now sets her sights on Miss Universe New Zealand 2024.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 top 10 finalist confirmed via Instagram, where she posted a story captioned “me again x [Miss Universe New Zealand],” along with an Instagram channel update expressing pride in her mixed heritage.
“I’ve always been proud of being mixed race. I’m a symbol of my parents’ love, which endured so much discrimination back when they first got together,” the Filipino Kiwi beauty queen shared.
Vincent is ready to embrace her Kiwi roots, saying, “Time to honor my dad’s side of my heritage, and the country where I took my first step, spoke my first word, had my first heartbreak and earned my double masters degree I never shut up about.”
Although Vincent has previously come close to representing the Philippines on the Miss Universe stage, she remains undeterred. Her fighting spirit shines as she invites her Filipino supporters to rally behind her in this new chapter of her pageant journey.
“Mahal kong Pilipinas, lagi kayong nasa puso ko. Kahit saan. Kahit kailan. Tara! NZ tayooo,” she stated warmly.
This announcement follows the abrupt end of former PBB housemate Franki Russell’s bid for Miss Universe as New Zealand’s representative, after the Yugen Group franchise was canceled by the Miss Universe Organization for not complying with a “specific order.”
Russell now sets her sights on the Miss Charm 2024 crown for New Zealand.
The Miss Universe New Zealand coronation night is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Dorothy Winstone Centre in Auckland, New Zealand.
Should Vincent win, she will reunite with her 2024 batchmates in Mexico this November, Fil-Brit Christina Dela Cruz Chalk, Miss Universe Great Britain 2024 and Chelsea Manalo, representing the Philippines.
