On Instagram, the desire to showcase one’s best self has led to the rise of what many in the Gen Z demographic refer to as an “aesthetic feed.” This term encapsulates the curation of one’s profile, where every post, color scheme and visual element is carefully selected to create a cohesive and visually appealing presentation.

But it isn’t about the main posts now as the “aesthetic” trend extends beyond the Instagram Stories. The platform is rolling out a set of exciting new stickers.

“We are launching new stickers in Instagram Stories so you can kick off music trends, create your own custom stickers from your photos or videos, post a secret story and more,” the platform shared in their news release posted on May 3.

Here are the guides from Instagram on how to use these four new stickers:

‘Add Yours Music’

You can add even more flair to your feed with features like “Add Yours Music” for sharing favorite tunes. This is actually a fusion of the popular “Add Yours” trend with the music sticker. Now, users can join music trends by sharing their favorite tunes, new discoveries or daily vibes with followers, who can then add their own selections.

To get started, tap the stickers icon and then select the “Add Yours Music” option. Once chosen, tap on the “+ / Add Music” button to pick a song from Instagram’s music library. After posting your story, your friends can easily add the song they’re currently listening to by using the “Add Yours” button.

‘Frames’

The “Frames” sticker offers a nostalgic twist, turning any photo into an instant print. The fun part here is that followers must shake their phones to reveal the content inside, adding an interactive element to storytelling and memory-sharing.

To add a frame to your story, tap the stickers icon, then select the “Frames” sticker. Choose an image from your gallery to frame and optionally add a caption. The frame will automatically display the date and time the photo was taken. After posting, your friends can shake their phone or tap “shake to reveal” to unveil the image inside the frame.

‘Reveal’

For those who love a bit of mystery, the “Reveal” sticker allows users to post hidden stories for friends to uncover. The only way to reveal the content is by sending a DM (direct message). This might be a chance to start a conversation with your crush!

To create a hidden story, tap the stickers icon and select the “Reveal” sticker. Enter a hint about the content behind the blur. Preview how your story will appear to friends. After posting, friends can only view the content by sending a DM to you, without needing your approval for the story to be revealed.

‘Cutouts’

Last but not least, the “Cutouts” sticker empowers users to transform everyday moments into unique creations. Whether it’s a snippet from a video or a striking image, users can turn any part of their camera roll into a sticker to personalize their stories and reels.

To create a sticker from photos on Instagram, go to the desired photo, tap the three dots in the top right, and select “Create sticker.” But, this option is available only for eligible photos shared by public accounts on Instagram.

With these new updates on the platform, you can spice up your Stories and connect with friends in fresh and exciting ways.
